Terms & Conditions – SteelBridge.ae

By booking, renting, or using any services via SteelBridge (www.steelbridge.ae), you (“Hirer”) agree to comply with the following terms:

  1. Eligibility & Documentation
    • Hirer must be at least 21 years old with a valid driving license held for a minimum of 1 year.
    • UAE residents must present a valid UAE driving license and Emirates ID; non-residents must provide their national driving license, passport, and if required, an International Driving Permit.
    • Only drivers listed on the rental agreement are permitted to operate the vehicle; additional drivers must meet eligibility criteria and may incur surcharges.
  2. Rental Period, Returns & Late Fees
    • Rentals operate on a 24-hour basis: e.g., a rental starting at 9 AM on Day 1 must be returned by 9 AM on Day 2. Any delay typically results in full-day charges.
    • A one-hour grace period may apply; additional charges beyond this follow the normal rental rate.
  3. Security Deposit & Payments
    • Hirer must pay the full rental amount plus applicable 5% VAT upfront, along with a refundable security deposit via credit card.
    • Deposit covers potential damages, fines, tolls, and late return fees.
  4. Insurance & Liability
    • Basic insurance (with an excess liability) is included. Optional enhanced protection packages may be available at extra cost.
    • In the event of damage or an accident, the Hirer must report the incident to UAE authorities to obtain an official police report, then notify SteelBridge immediately.
    • Unauthorized use, such as off-road driving or cross-border travel without an NOC, voids insurance and may result in vehicle immobilization or penalties.
  5. Fines, Toll Charges & Additional Fees
    • The Hirer is responsible for all fines (traffic, parking), Salik tolls, and associated handling fees.
    • Smoking inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited and may trigger cleaning fees or fines.
    • Charges apply for lost/damaged keys, insufficient fuel, or interior condition issues. 
  6. Mileage & Fuel Policy
    • Daily mileage limits apply (e.g., 200 km/day), with excess mileage charged at AED 0.50/km (or regional equivalent). 
    • The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup; shortfalls are charged per risk rate, plus a surcharge. 
  7. Vehicle Condition & Inspection
    • Upon pickup, the Hirer must inspect the vehicle for existing damage and notify SteelBridge of any issues. At return, the vehicle must be in the same condition, with accessories and cleanliness maintained.
    • Cleaning or repair costs may be assessed for returns with excessive wear, stains, or missing items.
  8. Early Termination & No-Show
    • Failure to collect the reserved vehicle within an hour post scheduled time may result in the booking being marked as "No-Show." 
    • Early termination by the Hirer may incur daily fees or penalties.
  9. Jurisdiction & Amendments
    • These Terms are governed by UAE law. Disputes will be handled under UAE jurisdiction and applicable courts.
    • SteelBridge reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time; continued use signifies acceptance of any revisions.
